Denver Water is experiencing one of the hottest and driest years on record, and drought conditions continue to put pressure on water supplies. Reservoir storage remains well below normal, at 73% full compared with an average of 94% for this time of year. To help conserve supplies, all lawn watering must end after Sept. 30, including hand-watering grass.

Customers should continue following mandatory watering restrictions through Sept. 30, including watering only on assigned days and between 6 pm and 10 am. Trees and shrubs may still be hand-watered as needed.

Customers who repeatedly violate watering restrictions may face enforcement actions and higher financial penalties. Additional measures may include installation of a water-flow restriction device on the property or, in severe cases, disconnection of water service.
